La Plagne Montalbert is part of the biggest ski area in the Alps (Paradiski) covering over 425kms of piste. Montalbert lies in the trees at an altitude of 1350 meters. Some of the most picturesque runs lie in the Montalbert region and, with the added advantage of snow cannons all the way down to the village, you are almost guaranteed to ski down to the village right until the end of April. There is also a Gondola which can quickly transport you up to the higher slopes!
At night, the resort is the venue for a whole host of seasonal festivities, including weekly torchlight descents organised by the ski school. There is a great choice of bars and restaurants that offer live music, plus a nightclub for those who wish to party until the early hours. During the festive season, Montalbert will guarantee you and your family a truly magical experience with extra special Christmas and New Year festivities happening throughout the village.
In addition to snow sports, there are beautiful walks around the village which link up with woodland and nature and cross country ski routes. Choose from a pair of snow shoes, cross country skis, depending on your chosen route and conditions. Ecole du Ski Francais (ESF) also do a guided snow shoe tours during the week.
